During the Core Mat II course you will learn to teach intermediate level mat exercises. Our students say that "everything starts to click" during the intermediate mat program. Completing the Core Mat II program expands the range of clients you can work with and strengthens your teaching ability.

This course focuses on teaching you how to teach the intermediate exercises. The e-learning system will first ensure that you know each exercise, and then will focus on providing you the knowledge and tools needed to teach them properly.

Build on your foundation with modules 8-14

Experience the Method

Introduction to the Intermediate Pilates Mat exercises following Power Pilates Classical order. To understand the method you will be teaching it is important to experience the exercises in your own body.

Philosophy of Teaching Review

Review Power Pilates Philosophy of Teaching. Build on the knowledge you learned in Core Mat I and delve deeper into learning about the industry.

Anatomy

Review the benefits of Pilates along with Basic Anatomy and Philosophy. Deepen your understanding of how the body moves and responds to Pilates exercises.

Teaching Components

Learn the tools, teaching components, and formula that prepare Power Pilates teachers to effectively progress their clients in the Intermediate Mat System.

Teaching Formula: Technique

Now that you know the exercises it's time to focus on what words to use to tell your client how to move through intermediate level exercises.

Teaching Formula: Flow

Guide your client through a continuous set of movements. Set a rhythm in your voice to enhance the pace of the exercises and motivate your clients by changing how you modulate the tone of your voice.

Teacher Practice and Final Evaluation

Congratulations you have completed and passed the first 6 modules. You are almost done, you just have your teaching practice sessions and practical evaluations left. You may register for up to 10 teaching practice sessions, conducted via live video conference with a Teacher Trainer.

Prerequisites

Core Mat II Requirements

Successful completion of Core Mat I is required before enrolling in Core Mat II. Students must have finished Core Mat I training (either online or in-person) and received their Core Mat I certification to advance to the intermediate program.

Length of Program

Pursue your Pilates instructor training at your own pace. The flexible online format allows you to complete the course according to your schedule.

Upon Successful Course Completion

You will receive an assessment-based certificate
You will be internationally recognized as an Intermediate Mat Pilates Teacher
You will have taken the next step in becoming a Comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor
